i rather like incarnation of desire. it feels very jrpg battle at times, but the composer does a good job in making it not too derivative of that sort of epic "final battle" sound. kind of does a bait and switch towards the latter half that i appreciate. unfortunately, its competition is one of my favourite songs in the contest :) this is pretty much a no brainer for me. so airy and dreamy with pleasant synths. this song is just so overwhelmingly pleasant to my ears. easy vote on the merits of kaze no notam being extremely stiff competition.

running to horizon sounds exceptionally 'racing game' to me. obviously, of course, being what game it is from, but this is something i'd point to as a good example of something that does what it ought to do well. very summery and vaguely mario kart with that guitar. oh baby give me more of that g-darius cronch. this feels very invasive, oppressive. crawling into the midst of a living machine and feeling it squeeze in on you. very, very cooks stuff. slight preference to enthusia here, but i am a big, big fan of the g-darius set.

armory is interesting. there's chippy bits mixed in with a heavier sound. i usually enjoy that kind of juxtaposition, but this time it doesn't really hit me the way i'd like. i like the cheesy 80s sound mixed with the pan flutes of bronze district. this isn't quite my thing either, but i have such a weakness for pan flutes.
