I always love the more avant-garde offerings from DSO but they go to that more traditional heavy metal sound and it's always a standout (Exit Strategy of a Wrecking Ball is still one of their best songs). I think it's perfectly placed as a precursor to Ceasefire but I guess I'll save some of my thoughts there until that one drops too. Agreed. And yeah, Exit Strategy is great. Pandora's Pinata is my second favorite DSO album, after Swagger and Stroll. Unfortunately, Prima Donna Gauntlet is one of the songs that suffers the most from DSOs questionable mixing and mastering decisions for this album. Jig of the Century and War Painted Valentine are also major offenders. All of their previous albums have substantially better sound quality than this one. Which is a real shame, because compositionally, Swagger and Stroll is easily my favorite. I just wish it sounded as good as the others.
