Dr Fate seems like knockoff Dr Strange, even though Dr Fate was created first. Atom Smasher seems like knockoff Antman/Giantman. They even gave him a lighthearted, jokey personality like Antman has, which didn't help. don't forget the totally not blackbird taking off from the secret underground hangar below the totally not xavier institute. and they even had atom smasher as the successor and not original like MCU ant-man --- The Earth is round.
