| MaxGalactica 12/19/22 11:44:39 AM #21: | Strike the Earth! was probably the first Jake Kaufman song I ever heard, and it convinced me to try Shovel Knight back in the day. Great, catchy song. Harmonia vita is one of the better Sigma Harmonics songs in the set. Love the vocals. The instrumental is decent, though nothing outstanding. Good song, but I'm still giving it to Strike the Earth!. Street Sweeper vs. Tin Soldiers is a tougher match. They're both weaker songs in their respective sets imo, though neither are bad per se. Both lean a bit too much into the repetitive DnB style (though Tin Soldiers isn't exactly DnB), which is their main downside to me. I'm feeling Tin Soldiers more on this listen, so I think I'll go with that. OUT OF PHASE is a bit on the repetitive side as well, but I like the chords at the end of the loop and the little piano bits here and there. Decent song. Disco Heat is once again proving that After the Sequel is by far the best Sonic set in this contest. The disco/funk elements are very good. Great song. Decent day. Votes: Strike the Earth!
