Are you insane? Rich people "cutting back" is axing a mansion or a private jet; poor people living paycheck to paycheck "cutting back" is doing without food or living in a car.

I doubt rich people are apart of that 60% so they're irrelevant here. For poor people we have a reliable enough safety net and general good will of people to prevent anyone from starving to that degree.

Also what many don't realize either is that they have very little to lose. And are literally just a single decent job aware from recovering and or escaping that cycle.

People in the upper classes though have alot more to lose. And bouching back after losing your job, house, car and everything else you had then at that point is alot harder and time consuming.
