Topic	Wait. Japan still hasnt apologized for its war crimes for World War 2.

They weren't leading members of the SS and didn't take part in the Final Solution (although they did use slave labour) - this was probably enough for the Americans to shrug and go "I'd rather work with a Nazi than a Communist".
