So the question I always ask then, is if the breed has nothing to do with it, what is so unique about the demographics of people buying pit bulls that cause them to be uniquely bad at raising dogs right? Saying it's not the breed doesn't actually fix the problem of all of these pitbull attacks. It's the equivalent of somebody responding to a demand to legislate assault rifles with a "well actually, you know there is no official designation for assault rifle" and then claiming the debate is over.

The problem with them is that they are very easy to get, loyal, and the look mean.

So, let me give you a common scenario. You live in a bad neighborhood, you have a family to protect, you already own a gun but people wont know that till theyre inside. What do you do to stop them from even trying to break in? you get a big dog to stick in the yard.

Now lets say you ban pits, well people still need a guard dog. I cant get a pit well i'll get a rottie. Same issue with them. An extremely loyal dog that looks mean.

Then, the dog isnt socialized because you want it to scare off non family members, you dont walk it because you have a yard, and then you dont give it any way to burn excess energy and stimulate its mind.

You get shitty dogs and that are stressed out whenever it sees a non family member. That dog gets out or you have to give it up. Then you have a dog that's constantly stressed out. Now you give it to someone who cant see the signs of a stressed dog. BAM a bite and since they are big strong dogs. A serious bite happens

The night brims with defiled scum, and is permeated by their rotten stench.
Just think. Now you're all set to hunt and kill to your heart's content.
