The number of people on CE who say litanies against pit bulls because they can't get away with saying the same against races of people is nonzero.
And for people who are those races of people, who also dislike pitbulls and say "litanies against pitbulls", what's their reasoning chief? Because unlike you ludicrously and offensively likening a race to a dog breed, that number is actually nonzero.

The problem with them is that they are very easy to get, loyal, and the look mean.

So, let me give you a common scenario. You live in a bad neighborhood, you have a family to protect, you already own a gun but people wont know that till theyre inside. What do you do to stop them from even trying to break in? you get a big dog to stick in the yard.

Now lets say you ban pits, well people still need a guard dog. I cant get a pit well i'll get a rottie. Same issue with them. An extremely loyal dog that looks mean.

Then, the dog isnt socialized because you want it to scare off non family members, you dont walk it because you have a yard, and then you dont give it any way to burn excess energy and stimulate its mind.

You get shitty dogs and that are stressed out whenever it sees a non family member. That dog gets out or you have to give it up. Then you have a dog that's constantly stressed out. Now you give it to someone who cant see the signs of a stressed dog. BAM a bite and since they are big strong dogs. A serious bite happens
Ok but pitbulls literally are genetically hardwired to not back down or let go from a fight. That's why they're so dangerous. It can take multiple people to stop a pitbull attack. I do not believe that Doberman or Rottweilers or whatever have those genetics. And yes, genetics matter. Pointing dogs point, retrievers retrieve. They absolutely play a part here
