Elon isn't brainwashed, he's just stupid. He knows he's playing conservative because they're the only people that might still like him. There's a reason he announced himself a conservative right before sex misconduct allegations came out.

Of course if he wasn't an idiot, he either never would have bought twitter, or would at least shut the **** up and let it continue basically unchanged. But much like Trump, he's too full of himself to let anyone else succeed for him, even though he doesn't have the foggiest clue wtf he's doing.
