All he's saying is that he doesn't want to play the games because then he'll try and imitate Joel exactly, which he doesn't think he's good enough to do. It's similar to actors that are afraid to watch the original movie if they're acting in a remake because they think that subconsciously they'll try to recreate that original performance, which often just isn't possible. --- *runs out of topic naked* ...
