I don't mean the shallow trashy gacha moron kind of 'waifu' where they just get tricked into paying up or wasting time because they like a character's appearance.
I mean the kind where the character is someone they want to be worthy of and they try to use the character as motivation to better themselves.
The difference is what, with one the computer generates an emotionless response to what you say, with the other you use your knowledge of the character to either pull yourself back in line or tell yourself what you want to hear in someone else's voice?
Yes the a.i. talks to you and can respond and remind you of things and say it loves you.
