I want to say the issue is trying to use a watch battery to do so much. I imagine just connecting to my phone's bluetooth probably saps a decent amount of power. If I don't really use any of the smart features it might make it an extra month or two, but like, 6 months at the most. 3-4 months has been pretty typical for me.

It was like the first gen or something, that's why there's a lifetime replacement warranty. The current ones have an embedded battery like other smartwatches IIRC.
