I know that seems pedantic but I think in the context of this particular incident where someone was tried and acquitted, it's worth mentioning. But hey that's not the point. The point is that the person I was arguing with was the one arguing that the crimes they committed in the past were relevant, so please direct your grievance to them for bringing that up in the first place.
