Bit of a weird situation going on right now in Edinburgh because that's where all the Harry Potter books were written and consequently where all the HP tourist spots are (there's like 8 different cafes that claim that is where she wrote the books). Edinburgh is a fiercely liberal, anti-terf city (e.g. a lot of bars/restaurants have changed their bathrooms to be non-gendered). So you have the locals who hate HP now, the spanish tourists who come only for HP, and these franchise cafes that I guess are trying to cash in on the popularity while also not wanting to be involved in the controversy.
