Like saying "Main Bedroom" instead of "Master Bedroom" because of slave connotations attached to "Master Bedroom" or saying someone is a "Legacy" instead of being "Grandfathered In", as many people are "Grandfathered In" because of a female family member's accomplishments. Phrases, and their meanings, can change and evolve over time.
