I hear you, dear and close friend. I worked at a pizza chain at that time and we didn't have cameras and people never recorded shit on their phones even though youtube was up and significant at the time. I had my moments of unleashing on asshole customers but nothing to this extreme and usually over the phone. The closest to this that I experienced was when a fight between 2 customers broke out right in front of me and I fucking screamed at both of them. The aggressor sat the fuck down and started apologizing with a deer in headlights look on his face. The other one (who he attacked) ran the fuck out and didn't come back, leaving his buddy awkwardly waiting alone for their food. Our owner ran to the back and called the cops, but apparently not on them for fighting but on me because he thought I was going to jump over the counter and attack them both. When they showed up, I was like "yeah we had a fight earlier. It's over and they've all left" (both parties had indeed left by then). A third party that witnessed the whole thing was like "holy shit how did you handle talking to the cops so well? O_O" I didn't know how to answer that. I just said that I told them what happened, which I did. That was that. We were in a multi-college area and open later than any other delivery place. We were used to shenanigans like that. A bunch of stupid shit would happen literally every weekend... again though, mostly over the phone or between delivery drivers and customers. Walk-in shenanigans like that were rare, but I usually stepped up to be the one to deal with them when they did happen, once I had been there a while at least.
