Even if you weren't paying close attention (like me) you'd still see that difference and think "oh, this girl isn't the main character. She's going to die, isn't she?"

Dont get me wrong. I know exactly what you mean and saying here but Sarahs death isnt gut wrenching because she died(even if you saw it from a million miles away) its how she died and how that changes Joel moving forward.
