It think its because it seems cheap compared to other games in the series. Sort of the same way some of the Tails games feel with the reused assets you mentioned. I think most, if not all of the music in this game is just music taken from past DQ games too and for a game this long you hear the same stuff more than you should. I mean, I love it because its DQ but they need to start making these games shorter or something. Pacing is just so off for me in the same way DQVII was When I thought I beat DQXI and then found out there was another 40 hours... loved the game but oh god was it long. --- I am Nick.
