I used it on Mia instead Honestly, Boyd is perfectly fine, and there's nothing wrong with using him all game long as long as he's keeping up. He can get screwed with bad luck, but he can easily be a powerhouse. PoR is honestly one of the most balanced games in the entire series. The worst units are either just kind of characters who start weak and are tricky to train up (IE, Rolf) or ones who join really late and generally lose out to earlier units if trained up (IE, Bastian & Lucia).
