Frankly, the character is a conduit for philosophy and cultural justice, and the latter is entirely the concept of the original Superman. My issue with Snyder Superman is that it didn't try to dally in either of those categories and was more focused on religious iconography for the character, which I think is only earned after achieving something meaningful in the other two categories. --- "It is too easy being monsters.
