Whenever a TV series, or Movie is based in the UK, someone always says "If this was set in America, it would be over in 10 minutes because they'd have a gun", and I'm like.... What are you talking about?

"100 illegal firearms are seized in the UK each month" Squires said no organisation has a clear idea of how many firearms are circulating. Ninety per cent of crime guns are only used once and then they disappear, he said. -- https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/sep/01/gun-rising-in-two-thirds-of-police-force-areas-in-england-and-wales

You can literally walk into almost any estate in the UK and be offered guns, and drugs -- and you don't even need to look shifty. It's that easy. So, yeah -- most movies should be over in 15 minutes in the UK, as well.
You are aware that's a much smaller number than what we have in the US, right?
