This is pretty much my standard that I go by when dating younger which would give me a minimum age of 26. Sometimes I'll go younger than that if I'm just looking for something super casual, but they need to at least be legal drinking age in the US. For older women, I'll generally go no more than 5 years older than me.

Not to call you specifically out, since it's everywhere, but "must do math to see if i'm dating someone immorally" is exactly the issue with the modern day conversation about age gaps, and really most conversations about morality. People want black and white rules so that they don't need to think or assess anything.

"See, the math works out! I'm doing the right thing!".

But that's not really how anything actually works. I used to think the formula thing was just a joke, but people seem to actually think it's some kind of moral compass.
