It's not my first From game. And that's why my opinion is that Elden Ring is a good game, but it doesn't do anything new and sometimes suffers from the larger map.

No. And I wasn't necessarily talking to just you, which I guess is confusing by me quoting your post. My intention is not to saying liking the game's quest design is objectively wrong.

But "you don't need to do everything" seems like a poor excuse for "there's no indication on how to continue the thing you're doing". Of course I want to finish a thing I've started. I understand missing things completely or stumbling into quest starts. Hopefully stumbling into quest continuation via backtracking is slightly more frustrating.
