Were you on a waiting list? Bought my first Patek almost exactly a year ago. I even posted about it here, response was a lot better than this topic (not that it bothers me at all tbh! I love a bit of controversy!). Got on the list about half a year ago, and got it yesterday. Extremely fortunate, yes, but Patek basically have infinite amount of customers. The stuff sells itself, there's waiting lists for almost every single model, so their job is to be selective with the customers, to prevent flippers and whatnot. As a hobby I also started writing articles about 4-5 months ago about luxury watches which started getting published by big names in the industry. The boutique where I bought my first watch caught on and I suppose the passion was obvious. So yes, very lucky to have gotten it! Over the moon! ... Copied to Clipboard! |
