the people who are arguing for a pause button act like they're unable to ever play an online game with the constant barrage of bowel movements and phone calls they are getting during their gaming moments with the theoreticals they are coming up with. I guess with this aging demographic they can't sit still for 20 or 30 minutes without getting a call from a Dr appointment check up or having some incontinence or something I don't know. it seems weird to make this much of a big deal about it though to me.
they are basically making a mountain of a molehill pretty much and want to make the other side of people who are politely indifferent seem like bad people .

so basically it just seems like an attempt to antagonize people over something that doesn't matter at all even in the context of this little microcosm of gfaqs of caring about things that don't matter. furthermore is weird how they make blanket statements and group everybody who doesn't care into a certain group when practically everybody played elden ring last year...it's not even a niche fanbase anymore

yeah the antagonizing happens to and from every side of the from software experience. my least favorite part of being a fan.

not sure why you're calling urgent pause reasons theoretical, tho. they happen? i've had countless urgent bathroom situations while gaming. plenty of phone calls that i wanted to answer. knocks at the door. people walking back forth in front the tv at the wrong time. my wife has caused many deaths by walking in front of the tv at the wrong time. i don't have kids, but with kids, i imagine a LOT of stuff is urgent. calling it theoretical is like saying the stuff that happens to people doesn't happen to them lol.

explain it. because i'm responding by doubting people are going to play the way you're suggesting. i didn't participate in the sekiro or demon's remake discourse. was this a thing? how widespread was it?
