The directors said that they originally had Jackie Chan in mind for the main lead, until eventually they rewrote the script for Michelle Yeoh when Jackie Chan turned down the film. I honestly think it was for the better because Ke Huy Quan was amazing in this film. Woah. Didn't know any of that.
