Depends on the media. Movies and television, yeah. Games, not so much. Western ones anyway. There's a trend of de-beautifying women in games in the name of "realism" but then they act like realistic beauty doesn't exist. Like they actively "uglify" the models they used like in Horizon and Last of Us. The Resident Evil remakes are a good example of keeping realistic beauty of the models.

No one is trying to say women being sexy is bad, but that the societal pressure at play that forces women into the mindset of having to present a certain way is bad.

I get that. I do. I think it's good that every female character design isn't a caked up doll anymore. I just think they might have leaned too far into the other direction. >_>

There's really no comparing modern progressives challenging societal expectations of beauty to old stuffy conservative moms having a come apart because they think rock music is going to summon the literal devil lol

I suppose the conservative prudes were worse. They didn't just stop at sexy after all. Rock music, metal, D&D, Harry Potter, anime, their list of targets were way longer.
