Apparently, the previous owners got really upset about how he "ruined the yard", even though it looks like how land should look in that climate "Sir, you live in a desert, that is not a good use of your finite water" And even if you are going to spend water cultivating something that wouldn't normally grow there instead of xeriscaping, there are countless other options that are more useful, less thirsty, and better-looking than "green square." Unless you're actually trying to maintain a heavily-used play surface, grass is just a terrible idea. --- This is my signature.
