China being butthurt about a free an independant Taiwan? Yep. But the decade-long US effort to block China from getting their hands on the latest and smallest process nodes? No. About how the entire point of taking over Taiwan is to get their hands on their smallest dies? Never. The closest thing I can remember hearing about is how TSC recently moved 48% of their production to Arizona. They talked about how it was unprecedented, but nobody in the mainstream media talked about why that was significant. The Cold War with China is specifically about computer chips, and I really don't recall ever seeing this in the news.
