theAteam 04/19/23 1:18:29 PM #5: | To get lean and defined you workout with a calorie deficit to lose fat so your existing muscles show better. To get stronger you workout with a calorie surplus to gain muscle, but also makes you gain fat so there's less definition. Usually people gain muscle then switch to a deficit to lose the fat and increase definition in the muscles they gained. It's long process.
