Absolute banger of a series, one of 2022's breakouts.
It was always expected to do well following the success of the manga, but it did live up to the hype for many.
Anya's smug face has become a bit of a cultural phenomenon and you got some really big names attached to the OP/EDs.
Hoshino Gen, is one of JP's top stars and married to essentially the #1 Actress over there.
HigeDan had a big hit with Tokyo Revengers, but last year had an even bigger big with one of JP's top dramas.
Bump of Chicken, some of you may remember for that incredible Pokemon MV.

All this to point out just how hard this show was pushed to be not just a big anime hit, but an overall mainstream success.
and I think it worked. Both anime fans and casuals seem to have liked the show.
