Im surprised this board is still here lol

its like 10 pm and i just all of a sudden remembered this place for some reason

Feels like I havent posted on gamefaqs in a billion years. Its honestly nice to see this place still going, because it seems like these days the internet became consolidated into one giant corporate social media conglomerate that i dont recognize anymore lol.

Idk, i cant really get a sense of community on something like reddit, ya know? Like the internet feels so impersonal now, whereas back in the day, you could find a little group of people on a message forum and form a community. I guess you could do that on discord now, but even that just doesnt do it for me

Im in my 30s now and it just felt like the world moved on. Most my real life family and friends went their separate ways, and if it wasnt for my wife idk who id talk to lol

So yeah here lately ive been revisiting a bunch of resident evil and final fantasy games from my childhood and it just felt really good to go back to something comfortable and familiar, ya know? It really got my passion for games reinvigorated.

And then that made me think about how people used to go online and discuss these games and how fun that was. Character battles were just the best, man. The first character battle i ever saw was aerith vs sora, i think in like 2002? I was hooked lol, ive been coming and going on this board ever since. So its really cool to see this board still going 30 years later

sorry for the long post, just nostalgic tonight i guess. Oh yeah, and if i was ever mean to you or said something shitty to you in the past, i apologize lol. I was crazy back then man. I grew up in the og xbox live generation, and you know how those dudes were lol.
