I can't remember if the move was at the same time as the (baseball Giants) or the Brooklyn Dodgers or both. I know 2/3 if not all 3 teams moved west around the same time. they went to Kansas City for ~10 years before those two moved to California. --- Boom! That's right, this is all happening!
