If it helps, consider this: How many illegal guns were purchased legally at some point in the supply chain? Most of the regulations proposed are banning something. People might be willing to negotiate if there was some actual give and take involved, but there's none of that. It's all stick and no carrot. It's all talk anyway, with absolutely no consideration of how it would be enforced. The end result for most of them would be millions of law abiding people being turned into felons with the stroke of a pen, or turning over billions of dollars in personal property. Are you really surprised people are opposed to that? --- Most people are other people.
