He probably was just very vocal and onboard with the Society and stuff and that made him be heard. But in this reality, he is always looking for how things can be better... and the current state of the world is not it. He's the kind of guy I think Saoirse respects in the moment, but in a normal version of the world, he'd have to be smart about what he was standing up to to keep that respect.
