Biden has gotten a lot done with basically the most narrow majority possible in congress. Obama got that with 59-60 Dems in the Senate and a much larger majority in the House than Biden. Obamacare remains far-reaching, but even at the time it was considered quite watered-down from what one could've expected with those kinds of Dem majorities.

I'll also still stand-by my opinion that the Dems in 2009-10 not pushing for DC and Puerto Rican statehood when they had supermajorities was a generational strategic error. How different would Dem prospects be if they basically had a guaranteed +4 Dem senators and a handful of more Dem reps?
