Yes, they are. Not physically, no, but definitely mentally.

He doesn't push me to improve because he loves me exactly the way that I am. He has many of the same problems that I do, and so it's one of the numerous things that bonds us together. I support him and he supports me.

Also, I think you're full of it. I think these things in my head almost continually, and with these topics, I at least satisfy some of my craving for attention. Despite not accomplishing anything in a literal sense, they do provide me somewhat of an emotional reprieve.
