Sonic Spinball (GEN)

I think this is the first console game I ever owned. As with the other SNES/Genesis/etc era games I've beaten recently, I used a bunch of save states to finally finish this -- but hey, it's been 25+ years that I've owned this game. Time to wrap it up, however imperfectly, and move on.

I have a lot of affection for this game but it kinda sucks. The pinball doesn't feel very pinbally and the Sonic doesn't feel very Sonicy. It's very hard to make the ball do what you want, to say nothing of trying to control Sonic in the rare sections where he's not being a pinball. Dishonorable mention to the bonus, "realistic" pinball, stages, which are maybe the least satisfying pinball facsimiles ever made. On the bright side this game has some wicked boss designs and the soundtrack still slaps 30 years later.
