X6 has a lot of moments where you can simply not progress, if you met certain conditions. Nightmare virus creating blocks you cant go over, stuck and cant exit a stage because you have the wrong armor, not being able to clear a jump because of nightmare virus plus wrong armor, the dumb lights-out nightmare virus plus bees combo, donuts, etc.

Then don't wear the wrong armor

I've never run into any of those issues

The donuts are actually well designed. They encourage special weapon use which very quickly destroys them
