The police complaint says that Ralph accused the woman of cheating on him and that during the ensuing argument, he shoved her several times, including into a set of stairs, causing, in addition to the fracture, "great pain and visible swelling." Ralph admitted to police that he shoved the victim and caused her injuries, according to the original report.
