Okay, to be fair, I can see how the topic title can be interpreted as a hyperbolic "Every single girl has a kid at X age" similar to "every single thing in this room is blue!" as opposed to using "single" as an adjective to determine the relationship status.

Lower educated women have children earlier.

I'd reframe this from a historical standpoint to say career women have children later (if they can achieve this at all) as women usually had kids young in the previous centuries. It's because of today's culture's encouragement of choosing a career path over settling for housemaking combined with ease of access to contraception that you see this demographic existing in a larger percentages than say 60 years ago. Higher degrees are needed to access these high performing career paths thus they're correlated.

It ain't easy for ladies to achieve a high status career and a family and a number of them (who are pursuing both) end up at a fork in their journey of life and have to choose between the two. It's a full time job and a huge commitment for either of the options and there are only so many hours in a day. A stark contrast to guys who achieve a solid career, it's a choice if they want to have a family or not.
