Topic	Games that do NOT require you to beat the hardest difficulty for a Platinum.

I think they did it best in the Horizon games, by giving trophies for beating the games on the highest difficulty, but they're separate from the rest of the trophies so you don't need them for the platinum. Should be that way in every game with multiple difficulties imo.
