Flavor has absolutely no impact on the roles whatsoever. The justification for why your characters have the roles they were given ranges from "makes complete sense" to "absolutely ridiculous but we'll roll with it". Some are played totally straight, others are intentionally zany.

In this game, you're free to flavor meta all you want, because the flavor will have absolutely zero impact on the game. More on that once I post the official rules for the game.

Just a heads up to make reading your role PMs a bit easier, your roles are clearly defined into "actions" and "abilities".

Actions require your input to activate, whereas abilities are passive and will work on their own or under certain conditions. This isn't anything too crazy; it's just a way to clearly define what your role can do.

Most actions will also have a priority. This gives you a rough idea of how your action gets resolved relative to other actions. There are three priority tiers: High, Normal, and Low. There's a bit more nuance behind how actions resolve, but that is for the host to sort out.
