Why does the qualifier "celebrity" affect it?How much of a celebrity must a person be before their opinions become less interesting than if they were a rather irrelevant person? Funny how someone with the most worthless opinions on the planet is an expert on which opinions matter more or less than others.

And you have made it abundantly clear over the years that you care more about tone and the appearance of politeness more than literally anything.

No one was saying you can't have opinions because you're straight and white, but telling LGBTQ people "I respect your fight and would vote to help you, but I'm really fucking tired of hearing about this shit" implies that maybe you don't really care. Perhaps the fact that you are not one affected by the anti-LGBTQ politics allows you distance from politics that LGBTQ people are not afforded. Yelling "so you think I shouldn't have rights because I'm straight and white?!" doesn't dispel the implication.
