Topic | Best version of Shepard from a role playing perspective? |
ellis123 06/14/23 12:49:57 AM #13: | Patriotwolf posted... Didn't bioware or someone say renegade was the canon version? No. ME3 defaults to a fair amount of renegade options is the source of that rumor. However, they *did* say the reverse: that the fact that they are default does not mean that they are canon. Basically nothing is actual canon beyond a small selection of bits (such as Shepard surviving the suicide mission in ME2... which shouldn't exactly be that hard to believe) but everything else is just a general "shrug." The closest thing to a canon as far as renegade versus paragon is the interactions between Shepard and other characters, and how most of them act like you've been paragon when going to a new game (as in, until you've been renegade in this one they'll assume paragon). In addition there are quite a few heinous actions you can do as a renegade that generally don't mesh very well with Shepard's general perception, making them come across as super dubious as anything resembling canon. --- "A shouted order to do something of dubious morality with an unpredictable outcome? Thweeet!" My FC is in my profile. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
