So like you know how cats and goats will play with dogs and monkeys and birds or whatever? They probably view friendships with humans as the same kind of thing. They like to play with animals of other species, such as dolphins and humans. We're just a specific species of ape to them.

I like animals, and animals who reciprocate my attempts to make friends probably think of themselves as "liking animals" too.
