I feel like suddenly magicing away every gun in existence would create an insane amount of chaos around the globe. Like, every government on Earth would suddenly lose it's ability to maintain order. The balance of power would switch so drastically and suddenly with nothing in place to fall back on that the effects would be catastrophic. Which would be especially dangerous because those people in power who suddenly had no guns to defend themselves or their governments would still have far more deadly weapons at their disposal.
