I like Pixels when Im on android because the software is clean and Google includes nice phone features, like call screening. Samsungs usually come with a bunch of preinstalled bullshit you have to uninstall or disable, which irritates me. I find the Pixel software less busy and easier to figure out than Samsungs OneUI, but thats personal preference really. Samsungs have nicer screens and better batteries though.

Oh, that's unfortunate. One of the biggest selling points of buying directly through google was supposed to be a longer shelf-life in terms of updates since they don't have to get routed through a third party. I guess that was proving untenable, though.
