Im not dissing him, but he seriously feels like an "OC DO NOT COPY!!!" character.
So yeah, Thanos decides to travel the universe and kill everybody. He comes to Earth and kills everybody. The Punisher is one of the last standing persons, totally outliving every Marvel hero, when he is suddenly killed. Since he has killed so many, he is sent to hell. All he wants is to return to Earth and punish Thanos, so he sells his soul to Mephisto so he can return as the Ghost Rider.
But he is too late, Thanos have already left!
He drives around all alone, nobody to punish. Even Mephisto gets tired of him and stops talking to him. He starts to get crazy...
Then goddamn Galactus appears, wounded after a battle with Thanos. He needs the help of Earths heroes to stop Thanos, but he is too late.
Punisher offers Earth in exchange for becoming Galactus herald, so he can punish Thanos. Galactus accepts and Punisher gets another power boost!
Together they travel the universe, stopping Thanos forces for centuries and becomes legends.
One day, Thanos have had enough and decides to crush the hope of the universe and kills Galactus. He offers the Punisher to become his right hand and help him punish the rest of the universe.
He accepts, waiting for the right time to punish Thanos...

I mean its just a variant of Punisher. I personally dont really like the punisher that much outside of the show but i always thought cosmic ghost rider was dumb fun

The night brims with defiled scum, and is permeated by their rotten stench.
Just think. Now you're all set to hunt and kill to your heart's content.
