Agreed. Chapter 2 was way more emotional IMO.

mega spoilers:I hated the pink blood twist, but I know most people like it, so that's just me, I guess.
I noticed the red blood in chapter zero followed by pink in the later chapters and wondered what was up with it. I think it's pretty well done.
